I run a photographic practice based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. In 2024, I graduated from the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Biology from the University of Amsterdam.
Drawing on my background in Biology, I approach photography as my research method of the everyday. Consistent observation and natural curiosity allow me to dissect the unnoticed. Through the medium of photography, I focus on human interactions with their environment like artificial representations in urban settings, encounters with plants and animals, and glimpses through humid windows. This results in images with a sense of ease.
By careful pairings and different media - photography, moving images, installations, and bookmaking - I combine moments in time from a world that others only occasionally notice.
